چکیده

Stroke leads to long term disability and spasticity is one of them. Neurodynamic a movement which aimed restore the electrical signal directed nerve spinal cord. The neural mobilization used improve elasticity nervous system arm function regain motor ability in patients with stroke. Objective: To assess effects neurodynamics on upper extremities stroke patients. Methods: It Randomized controlled trial. Data was collected from 46 Patients. Simple Random Sampling done data District headquarters hospital (DHQ) Jhelum. Patients chronic stroke, age 40-60 years, Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) ≥1 3 both male female were included this study. For 6 weeks, experimental group received conventional therapy (10 reps/ set, 1 set/ day, days/week), whereas control treatment (12 days/week). MAS, Fugl Meyer Upper Extremity (FMUE), goniometry Action Research Arm Test examine participants at zero, three, six weeks (ARAT). Shapiro-Wilk test ensure that normal, statistical analysis performed using SPSS 21. Results: Statistically significant improvement found between analyses FM-UE score AROM as p-value <0.05. There no difference ARAT, sensation, joint pain, passive motion, coordination PROM >0.05. within score, <0.05 except ARAT coordination. Conclusion: result shows neurodynamic combined more effective than alone reduce spasticity, extremity AROM. also there sensation occurred fine task performance groups. study concludes for has additional benefit improving UE functional active range motion but are different coordination, sensation.
